Curtis B. Stulting, P.E., M.B.A. How to Take Web-Module Courses To succeed as a Christian Leadership Online Academy student, you must read and write English comfortably. You also need to be familiar with Internet tools — e-mail, file transfer, Web browsing, and word processing. You will need a Pentium class personal computer running Windows 98 or later or a Power Macintosh running system 7.5 or later. You machine should have at least 16MB RAM. You will also need your own Internet account with a local Internet Service Provider (ISP). How to Apply to Enter a Program Fill out the Web application form found at Online Registration Form. Have a letter of recommendation sent from a pastor, ministry leader or denomination leader on official letterhead paper stating your position, eligibility as a minister or ministry leader in your church or denomination and recommending you for this program to Rosewood Center, Christian Leadership Online Academy, 890 Northern Way, Suite C2, Winter Springs, FL 32708. Applications must be received one month prior to the start of the program. After You Have Registered Payment: Once you receive an e-mail confirmation of your acceptance into a program, go to Rosewood Donations to make a donation to Rosewood Center via credit card to take the first module or send a check to Rosewood Center, Christian Leadership Online Academy, 890 Northern Way, Suite C2, Winter Springs, FL 32708. (Suggested donation per module: $50) Ordering Materials: Most modules require the purchase of resource books. You may order them at Rosewood Products at least two weeks prior to the start of each module. Scheduling Online Modules: All Rosewood Center Web-Module programs begin in January, March or August of each year. Easter week, Thanksgiving week, and the months of July and December are off. For the current Schedule of Modules refer to the Schedule below. Send an email to admin@rosewoodcenter.com at least one month prior to the start of a module stating your intention to take the module and give a telephone number and the best time to reach you. Your Instructor Will Call You At least one week before the start of each module, your instructor will call you to be sure you have everything you need to begin the module. General Module Instructions Every module runs for 4 weeks. Each week the Resource Information, Forum Questions, Reflection Sheet, Assigned Questions, and Weekly Evaluation materials will be made available. Each topic of the module will run from Monday to Saturday with assignments due by midnight (E(D)ST) on Saturday. Responses to assignments will be emailed by midnight on Monday of the following week. Each week the student is required to read and study the resource materials assigned, spend at least one hour in the online forum, complete the reflection paper and assigned questions and email them, and fill in the weekly online evaluation form. A chat room will be available at all times during a module, where students can gather and share ideas. The instructor will be available in the chat room every Thursday evening from 6-7PM (E(D)ST) for Cycle 1 courses, from 7-8PM (E(D)ST) for Cycle 2 courses and from 8-9PM (E(D)ST) for Cycle 3. Two three-day or One weeklong Practicum At least two three-day or one weeklong practicum during the program year at our Central Florida headquarters will be required to successfully complete the program. We highly recommend that the weeklong practicum be done nearest the close of your program year. Arrangements can be made for adult overnight guests during your practicum stay. Families will need to make their own arrangements for accommodations. Information about local facilities will be provided on request. For the current schedule of practicum dates, refer to the Schedule below. Personal Prayer Counseling Arrangements can be made for personal prayer counseling by telephone (at your expense) or at our Central Florida headquarters for a suggested donation of $30 per counseling hour or $100 for 3 intensive sessions over a weekend. Overnight accommodations can be made. Certificate of Completion At the successful completion of all requirements of a program, a certificate of completion will be mailed to you. Schedule for 2006
